Dear Lincoln Families,
Today, we experienced an unexpected situation in one of our classrooms that required our emergency response protocols. At approximately 2:25pm, students/staff in one of our classrooms reported a concerning odor. As a precautionary measure, we immediately:
- Evacuated the specific classroom
- Contacted district facilities personnel
- Requested local fire and police department support
- Initiated our emergency response procedures
Our local first responders and school nursing staff thoroughly assessed the situation. The classroom was comprehensively evaluated for any potential harmful substances. After a complete assessment, the fire department declared the area safe and cleared the classroom for use.
Key Points of Reassurance:
- The incident was isolated to a single classroom
- Students who experienced any symptoms were individually evaluated
- Parents of affected students were personally contacted
- Our facilities staff continues to conduct a detailed follow-up investigation
We appreciate your understanding and want to emphasize that student safety remains our highest priority. Our school staff follows strict protocols to ensure a safe learning environment.
If you have any specific questions or concerns, please contact the school office directly.
Sincerely,
Jason Ihde
Principal Lincoln Elementary
