Application Procedures
To be considered an active candidate for a particular position with the Hoquiam School District, a candidate must meet the required qualifications as listed on the job advertisement for each position. Candidates who have a valid and completed application on file and who have expressed interest for a particular position will be considered along with other applicants who may have applied for the open position. After screening of the applications, selected candidates will be interviewed by the administrator or supervisor.

Fingerprint State Requirement: Washington State law requires that all new employees of a school district or an educational service district (ESD) with regularly unsupervised access to children be fingerprinted for a record check through the Washington State Patrol (WSP) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Payment for fingerprinting is the responsibility of the employee/applicant.
