Dear Hoquiam School District Community:
During the November 13, 2023 School Board Meeting, the Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve one local funding measure for the special election ballot on February 13, 2024.
The proposed measure includes:
Replacement Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy, which provides funding for educational programs, supplemental programs, and basic operating expenses that aren’t fully funded by the state. This includes, but not limited to the following:
Music and Arts
Athletics and Extracurricular Activities
Staffing
Educational Materials
Technology
Transportation
Food Services
Operation expenses
This levy replaces the existing EP&O levy which expires at the end of 2024.

"Our schools serve as the beating heart of our community," expressed Dr. Mike Villarreal, Superintendent. "These structures, along with the essential education students acquire on our grounds, pave the way for lifelong achievements, community bonds, and cherished memories. I am grateful for the board's dedication to delivering top-notch education while maintaining fiscal prudence."

Deadlines for the February 13 Special Election
February 5: Online and by mail registrations must be received.
February 13: Register to vote in person by 8 p.m. on Election Day at a County Elections Office.
