Expectations

CLASS RULES

 

1. Keep hands, feet and other objects to yourself.

2. Do not throw, toss, fling, chuck, propel, cast, pitch, hurl, catapult or send anything airborne.

3. No swearing, name calling, or put downs.

4. Respect property, do not steal or damage items due to your neglect.

5. Be on time.

6. Come with necessary materials.

7. Do not be a disruption to the teaching or learning process. If two or more people are paying attention to you instead of the assigned task, you are a disruption.

8. Follow the rules and regulations found in the handbook.

 

Continued failure to follow these rules will result in an office referral.

 

OTHER EXPECTATIONS

 

1. No hoods on in the classroom

2. No food or beverages in the classroom. Clear bottled water only.

3. Do not write on the desks.

4. The bell does not dismiss you, I do. We will not be standing around before the bell.

5. No book bags or backpacks on desks.

 

CLASS PROCEDURES

 

· Class will start at the bell with an entry task warm-up. This is a graded assignment done in class based on work done previously. You may use your notes and previous assignments to help you if you get stuck. This assignment is timed and will be collected in class.

· Any assigned work from the day before will be graded, solutions discussed, and you will self monitor your progress towards mastering the skill, then they will be collected.

· Skills will be taught through examples, group/partner work, activities, discussions, and labs.

· Time will be given in class to work on assignments.

· Papers must have a complete heading.

· Retakes are allowed on tests and quizzes. The student must come in during study table to work before eligible.

· If you are absent, you will be given your make-up work when you come back. Each assignment will also include the due date. I have a basket for absent make-up papers. It is your job to turn it in by the due date. I will not collect it or ask you for it.
