FINANCIAL AID PROCESS
Financial Aid is the term used for all of the opportunities you have to get assistance to pay for your post-secondary education.
THE FIRST STEP to obtaining financial aid is to apply for the FAFSA.
Colleges, scholarship committees, and others may want to see your FAFSA results as a way to determine your need for financial aid.

Other scholarship sites provide links to national, international and state-wide opportunities.
Students are sometimes nominated for scholarships that do not require them to apply.
Colleges and their foundations offer a wide-variety of scholarship opportunities through a single application that is filled out one you apply to attend that school. (see college/school website for application link and information.)
STUDENT LOANS are offered as a way to pay for your education, then paid back once you graduate. (see "Federal Student Aid at a glance" link below)
